The international driving permit is issued by the Automobile Club du Luxembourg to any person who meets the following two conditions :
he/she holds a driving licence issued by a Member State of the European Economic Area (*)
he/she has his/her main residence in Luxembourg
To obtain it, the applicant must apply at ACL with :
a valid driving licence issued by a Member State of the European Union or the European Economic Area (*),
or a recent copy of the original
a recent residence certificate (less than 3 months old) issued by the municipality or delivered by myguichet.lu
a recent passport-sized photo
The issue costs for an international driving permit are €16 for members and €30 for non-members. The International driving permit is created immediately.
(*) These are the Member States of the European Union + Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.
